Here Be Dragons – Creatures of Myth by Sandara

 

 

There is a lot to be said about fantasy art. It is a genre in and of itself. Nowhere else perhaps can one become lost in mythical lands inhabited by legendary heroes.  Digital artist Sandara shares our view on this. He has created mind blowing works of digital art that give form to fantastic creatures of myth. He creates a world that is populated by noble warriors and Majestic dragons and all manner of fearsome and awesome beasts. He etches in amazing detail, colossal dragons of every element. Griffin and phoenix alike fly in the skies of this magical land. It is a wondrous sight to behold.

We have often extolled the deeper darker subjects of artists who draw inspiration from the abstractions that exist in life. But this is a form of art that offers something different. It offers an escape into a world that is uninhibited by the limits of reality. It is world whose limits stretch as far as our imagination can take them. Momentary though it may be, but the glimpses of such a world give us the faith to believe. And what grander gift can art offer?
