DALeast is an artist from China who currently resides in South Africa. His work however has taken him around the world for exhibitions of his artworks in many European, African and American nations.

He usually paints with animals as the subject matter. His trademark style includes painting in a way so a to cast the illusion that the subject is made up of jagged shards of metal. The way he employs negative space to define the boundaries of his art is also immensely captivating.

This talented duo of German graffiti artists Jasmin Siddiqui and Falk Lehman, goes by the name ‘Herakut’, a combination of their pseudo names – ‘Hera’ and ‘Akut’.

Hera and Akut are not just street artists. They are also storytellers. In their distinct style, through each of their murals they tell a story that reverberates with the viewer.

In most of their stories, the protagonists tend to be children. The most famous of their fictional characters are Jay and Lily, tow children who feature regularly as part of their ‘Giant Storybook Project’.

Their work often conveys strong social messages, a reflection of their powerful convictions about the role of art on society.
